TCA Housing Choice Voucher Program

Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly Section 8 Rental Assistance) provides rental subsidies to income-eligible households. Participants generally pay between 30-40% of their monthly adjusted income towards their housing cost and the program pays the remainder directly to the landlord. Housing Services staff perform health and safety inspections on each housing unit before rental assistance can begin and at least once per year thereafter.

TCA Chartwell House

Permanent single room occupancy (SRO), subsidized supportive residence for previously homeless men in active recovery from alcohol and/or substance dependence.  Staff works with  tenants to create supportive, safe and sober living environment and use community support services to reach individual goals.

TCA Magnolia House

 Permanent supportive housing program for previously homeless women in recovery of substance dependence and a child, less than 5 yrs, at entry. . Helps tenants develop and maintain independent living skills, foster family reunification, define personal needs and develop personal goal plans.

TCA Supportive Housing for Families Program

Supportive housing programs for previously homeless families and individuals through two permanent housing sites and a transitional scattered-site approach throughout Tompkins County.
